Motherinlaw passed away

As you know, I've been going down to help look after my motherinlaw. She passed away on Saturday 28th February at 6.20pm in her home. She had all her family to be there with her. The family service is still undecided with the venue as there are some selfish people trying to get their way over what the family wants. So its either going ot be at the PIC church or the LDS chapel. The time is definate, 7pm on Tuesday. The funeral service is definate as well, LDS chapel 11am on Wednesday, Burial Tokoroa Cemetary. Its been pretty hectic trying to stay stress free but what island function doesnt have drama huh!!!!! The immediate family, which includes, myself, sisterinlaw myra and dad Tangi have had to endure a lot of gossip and Tokoroa Island people just trying to get their way. Its frustrating because we have spoken to them all telling them whats to happen, but they wont listen. So at the moment, we are waiting for Uncle from Up north to come and handle the stubborn asses. Since, he's the only Priesthood holder left in the family, (other than Tangi) he is pretty much the family leader. The community respects his position in their family.

Mum's final wishes were that we have a formal family service, which she has already told us who she wants to speak and whats to happen, and its to be done at the LDS chapel and then go back to the PIC church to sleep and carry on with the rest of the family stuff. Just so that they can feel that they've had their say. But thats not what the ISland people are allowing us to do. So, we wait till tonight when the Uncle arrives so that we can have a big meeting and try to come to some sort of compromise where at least the immediate family are happy with the decision.

But thanks to those who have supported us thusfar, and hope to see u at either services. Please pass the word around.
